This Should be Interesting

March 14th, 2008

So I was just interviewed by Channel News 9. I wonder:

1. How much will actually make it on the air.

2. If any of it will actually make any difference.

Should be fun finding out.

In the meantime, I was forwarded a few photographs from today’s protest by the kids. Of course, I’m sure there are going to be those who will claim the teachers put them up to it, but anyone who’s ever been in the classroom will know the last thing any teacher wants is a group of kids walking outside.

The two hour conversation with the kids in the auditorium was wonderful, and very much like the conversation we spent 45 minutes on with our kids at MC2 in advisory. I wonder if things might have been different and a little less stressed at MRHS this afternoon is there were an advisory period in place.

Kids still need help processing their emotions, figuring out what’s going on, planning their days. Where else are they going to get the answers they need to know how to feel?
